I spoke with Marianna Sadecka about the anti-governmental and non-conformist mindset and parallel philosophy in my Liberland in Georgia podcast. Since we made the interview in Tbilisi, Georgia, we also brought Georgia into the international context. We were especially expressing Georgian boldness and courage. The video is freshly out - I wish for insightful listening during your NYE preparations. Looking forward to your feedback. https://lnkd.in/dCe_c8by

2022 with Liberland was a ride 📈 In July I became the representative of Liberland to Georgia. In August I visited Liberland & Serbia (we have Ark, a diaspora village there) and gave a speech at our Floating Man Festival's conference. I met thousands of like-minded non-conformist people. In September I returned to Georgia and started meeting other libertarians in the country. I am still impressed to see how many communities are here! In October, I organized the first meetup at the beginning of the month. In the end, I was shooting the first episodes of the local podcast. 🚀 In November I kept networking and working on the marketing side of the representation. In December, I organized the meetups in Tbilisi, Bangkok, and Phuket. I gave a presentation in the metaverse as well, as the representative of the first metaverse country. Crazy! 😄 I am super grateful for everyone who's part of it. Thank you. It's my honor to share the awareness that things can work differently. I'm all in for individual freedom in the future.🕊 Cannot wait for what awaits all of us. I'm very hopeful about the future. I'm looking forward to all of you in 2023. I wish you all to live at your own (freest) best. All the best and Happy Holidays! I send you some sun and warmth, Sam

📈 3 must-know tips on how to increase your chances to get remote work đŸ‘‡đŸ» 1. Educate yourself. I've never learned that much as in the past year. And I am sure that the next year will be even more dynamic. Keep learning, and reshaping your perspective. 2. Talk and write about what you've learned - post it on social media. Share your insights. Tell what you've learned and whether the course is worth it for others. If you don't say what you've learned, no one can get to know it. 3. Network with the recruiters of companies that truly drive your interest. Try to specify where exactly you'd love to work, find the companies that share your values, and then get to know them. In the long term, you wanna work where it works for you :) #remotework for life Photo: Chiang Mai, Thailand. A kind accommodation owner brought me the coconut from the garden :) This life. <3

Why I am socialized despite being a remote worker? 🧐 People who say that remote workers are lonely: * either never tried remote work (at its best); * tried but didn't socialize; * have problems creating active connections. In any of these cases, the problem is not remote work to fix. I realized that there are 2 approaches to creating connections in life: passive (or, reactive) & active. By passive connections, I mean those that just come into our life: we get a job and have our colleagues, we go to school and get classmates. Not much extra effort is needed. You just react to your surroundings. The active approach requires extra effort: You go, start a new hobby, and connect with people who share the same interest; you set up values, live by them, and start meeting like-minded people; you seek like-minded communities - like libertarians; you go to the networking event; or, you even organize a community or event yourself. I have never felt as self-fulfilled and healthily socialized as I do as a remote worker. No matter where I am, I can opt-in for the connections, if I feel like that. And, the voluntary principle of it is what makes it that special and beneficial for the individual. Take care, Sam #remotework for life Photo: Chiang Mai, Thailand; Dec 2022 -- Follow me for more details on how to bring remote work to its best.

I wish we got publicly honest about the 'consistency' when it comes to personal branding. đŸ˜€ Do you really believe that all the content creators sit in the morning and write the post for you? When you create a lot, you wanna work smart. What does it mean? It's about creating in bulk. You sit back, prepare the posts for social media for the next 2 weeks and schedule them. You can use one of the many tools for scheduling content. This preserves your energy for other processes - you can take videos, prepare a strategy, go meet people in person, create your own product, or just relax. 'Consistency' in content creation means rather scheduling the posts regularly. Otherwise, you can get very easily discouraged by missing one day because of other duties. (Missing a day doesn't matter though :)) I do not think you really want consistency though. You want sustainability. Choose the speed that works for you and alter it as you go to work for YOU. Take care, Sam Photo: Phuket, Thailand ~ #remotework for life :) - I plan to share more realistic tips & insights for personal branding in the close future. Follow me if you wanna reshape the way people see you.

2 days ago, I had an unexpected call. It was 10 PM my time. I was reading a book before falling asleep. But with the call, I switched my plans. Because of the unplanned changes, I was asked, whether I'd give a presentation in ONE HOUR from the given moment. At first, I thought - well, my boundaries say I don't do last-minute things anymore. But, my driven mindset decided for me. 😈 I accepted the invitation and gave an encouraging presentation in the Metaverse for Arrival ‱ ერაივალ. It was an exciting experience and a great decision! 😊 The aim of my presentation was to: * Encourage people to transit from one industry to another. * Empower women to find their strengths, focus on them, and go where it takes them - especially in the tech area * Motivate people to start speaking up about their successes & knowledge. The presentation will be out soon - follow Arrival ‱ ერაივალ for the updates. I cannot wait for more public feedback!

I celebrate Christmas every day. I do not feel today was anyhow different from my regular days - I woke up and then did things I enjoy: I was active, had great food, treated myself well, went to some special place, visited the beach, drove a scooter, took a nap,... I did not do a single thing that I wouldn't like to do. Maybe I didn't get any special gifts, but I don't need anything - when I want something, I just buy it. I have a specific relationship with things though. For over a year, I only have had things that bring joy, nothing more or less. It's very freeing. When else to buy what I want, than now, be it March, Monday, or winter? The days are the same, disregarding some social conditions that tell us * today is special * for some reason. Yes, there's the lack of dopamine hit from the novelty when you do the 'same cool things' all the time. That's probably the point when I suggest trying out new things, observing, and learning, to understand that the world is not just a fixed paradigm and the possibilities are not what we've been shown so far. I never get bored from both activities or * just being *. I cannot get enough of the everyday. I look at what I live and I am proud, grateful, and happy. It's not only Christmas day (that means for everyone a different day and something else, again, the concept of 'normality' 😃) when I want to wish others good as well. It's every single day I hope people were treating themselves and others well. I wish to see more people in the world who dress up well not for a special occasion, but every day. Who will treat themselves well and put themselves first. I wish we were not postponing life for later, and wouldn't spend time in the places we don't enjoy (if even that much), in case we can be elsewhere (mostly we CAN). I wish more people would get the mindset of turning their life for the better themselves. I wish people were involving the effort, bravery, and responsibility more often. I wish for a more individual freedom mindset in society. And, I hope to be part of the change. I hope to keep inspiring, sharing my thoughts, and encouraging more and more people to aim to be at their better-self, rethink their opportunities and get where they want to be. I want people to realize, they can. . I don't wish you Merry Christmas today. I wish you to treat yourself the way you do on Christmas every day from now on. đŸ€¶đŸ»đŸŽ„ #remotework for life

Why transit into the web3 industry? Should you be scared of the industry transition? What opportunities does it bring? Do women belong to web3? Definitely! I’ve just given a presentation, the last one in 2022, in the metaverse. And, I hope it encourages not only all the women, but everyone out there to understand own superpower, accepting it, speak about it, and sell it at own best. Aim for acceptance and understanding. Be yourself. Don’t prove yourself. Be. The whole recording is to be out soon. Thank you, Arrival ‱ ერაივალ, for the opportunity to participate in the metaverse Girls in Web3 conference. See you all in 2023. 🚀 #web3 #womenintech #industrytransition #remotework

Remote workers don’t work from the beach. Remote workers work from where they please. They don’t need a boss to tell them where they must be tomorrow at 9 AM and what clothing they should wear. They can figure this out themselves. My wish from the Santa đŸ€¶đŸ» is the world understood this in 2023. I want to wish everyone to live a life at own best, to be brave and take a full responsibility for oneself. Get self-satisfied and go your way. Happy holidays to everyone. Could I live in Chiang Mai, the n 1 digital nomad place in the world? Mmmmmm :D this is difficult. 1/ I really appreciate that despite being here for the 3rd full day, I still haven't seen almost anything (or at least I feel like it). Of course, I travel more as if it was my home, not as if I was a tourist. 2/ I am a bit scared that from the long-term perspective it's too small for me. However, when discussing this with expats who live here for years, they shared that there's still this infrastructure, city vibe, many interesting communities, events, and a huge amount of hobbies to do. It's true, that not even every capital can meet all this. The city has a huge benefit from the number of foreigners (mainly Americans, at least to my current observation). 3/ Overall, there is an amazing balance of nature & the city (and services). There are plenty of waterfalls around, animals, national parks, and places to go to wind off. At the same time, you got a great infrastructure - 24/7 services, restaurants, shops, food, markets, local food. . What I do not like? > Every year, there is the burning season, so the air gets very smoky and unhealthy. (But now it is still very very good.) > No seaside / far from the seaside - but you can take the direct plane to Phuket/Krabi/anywhere from here and be at the very nice seaside in an hour. > I thought the in-city airport is a plus, but it can be very noisy. I think I got used to it, but it's something I definitely noticed at first :) ^ These are definitely things one can work through. I will be back. Photo: Chiang Mai, Thailand

My yesterday's presentation about Remote Work is out. 30 minutes of insights I wish someone had told me earlier. It's more about individual philosophy & freedom than remote work, maybe. But if you master this, you can live & work remotely to the fullest. I speak about: * Downsides of remote work, * Self-fulfillment and its impact, * How to handle homesickness? * What Remote Work really changes and what does not? * Is it ethical to go fully remote / relocate? P.S. My niche is not remote work, but freedom. Slides (I recommend seeing the speakers notes as well, yet the video adds on the value): https://buff.ly/3HOviGw Enjoy 🙂 Time to go for a massage & to the waterfall. Video:

My assistant has mandatory time off. Paid. Why? Because I want her to be back at her best. I do not want her tired. I want her to relax and not to be constantly on because of the things that will wait. And also, I do not want her to be anxious about enjoying her time off because of getting less money. You cannot recharge that way. I treat people who work with me the way I want to be treated. She has unlimited holidays, works freely (and remotely of course), and is self-actualizing herself because of enough space to self-express her talents. Once she's done with the tasks for the week at her own pace, she is done. I do not micro-manage her and do not add on new things (she works part-time for me). That's the real environment of today. Be part of the change - do not request your people to work in some obsolete conditions. Happy Holidays.

The best book I read this year with my favorite quotes: (I try reading 1 book / week) Ayn Rand - The Virtue of Selfishness To me, this is the best collection of essays covering the topic of individual philosophy. Despite being put together back in the ’60s, it’s more than up-to-date. The first half of the book focuses on the individual in society. The other half covers society and the government. Overall, the book rethinks the concept of ethics, zooms out from the current norms, and explains why you’re not responsible for everyone else and how by accepting full responsibility for yourself, you actually do the best for everyone. I’ve never felt that understood as I did while reading this book. I read the book in less than 2 days and plan to reread the individual part again in the next few days. My favorite quotes in Notion are available here: https://buff.ly/3PrNZSq Bold are my top favorite quotes. My top: “To love is to value. Only a rationally selfish man, a man of self-esteem, is capable of love—because he is the only man capable of holding firm, consistent, uncompromising, unbetrayed values. The man who does not value himself, cannot value anything or anyone.”

Dear companies, I do not want your *brand-new offices* and *coffee machine on the same floor*. I don't drink coffee and I do not like offices. I want to drink Taiwanese iced milk tea in Bangkok, or anything else and anywhere I think of. I want to do my work when I am at my best, not 9 to 6. I want to be ahead of your time zone and have more daylight in my day, not sitting in the office when it's sunny on the street. Dear companies, It's not the future that's remote. It's the present moment. #remotework for life Hi from BKK.

Finding out what works for you 🚀 can only be done by trying out different things. Such a simple principle, yet many people have no clue what they like, or what's their ideal mode of work & life. I suggest trying out: - Trying out different food, combination, and frequency of eating - Trying out falling asleep and waking up at different times - Sleeping less / more - one of the core things I've learned this year (now I sleep 7-8 hours a day) - Sleeping in different conditions - I sleep much better in cold, especially in the nature - Working out early and late - when I work out late, I often have a higher heart rate at night and recover worse. When working out in the morning, I feel energized for the whole day & more focused. - Trying out to work both morning, and evening, and even trying to split the day in two - enjoying the daylight during the day and finishing the rest of the work in the evening. (I recommend not working directly before falling asleep though, because then your brain cannot switch so quickly :) - Meditate (several times a day :D) - New activities! Try everything you can and I am sure you will find many exciting new hobbies. However, you will need to stop worrying about looking like a beginner :) You will be one at first. Sadly, many adults got *too serious* and have a hard time trying out new things. Also, often, we stopped doing some activities because of some irrelevant people who told us we were not 'good enough'. There is no good enough. There is only the joy from the process :) - Different environment - for work: clean, silent, noisy, multi-tasking, focused... for life: different flats / houses, nature / lack of nature / combination, sea/mountains/both, dryer/humid, warm/cold. This can change with time and mood as well :) - Time for yourself - rethink it and do not make time for yourself only on the weekends (or never). My biggest hack past 2 years is doing my things IN THE MORNING. This way I am sure that I am happy, I have time for myself and I finish everything I wanted. A different time zone or a flexible time-work can be your friend. What else would you suggest and what works for you? :) Cheers! Sam

How to deal with a lack of socialization in the office while working remotely? đŸ€” 4 Solutions you can use today. Working remotely can sometimes feel isolating, especially if you're used to being surrounded by coworkers in an office. But there are ways to overcome the lack of socialization and still feel connected to your team. Here are a few tips for handling the lack of office socialization while working remotely: 1/ Use communication and collaboration tools to stay connected with your team. There are many tools available that can help remote teams stay connected and collaborate effectively. Some examples include Slack, Asana, and Zoom. Use these tools to share updates, ask questions, and work together on projects in real-time. 2/ Schedule regular check-ins with your team. Set aside time each week to meet with your coworkers, either through a video call or by phone. This will give you an opportunity to catch up and discuss any issues or concerns you may have. 3/ Make an effort to socialize outside of work. Just because you're not in an office doesn't mean you can't socialize with your coworkers. If you're comfortable doing so, consider inviting your team members to join you for a virtual happy hour or coffee break. Or, if you're all in the same location, plan a social outing outside of work. 4/ Consider joining a professional networking group or online community. There are many online communities and professional networking groups that can help you connect with other remote workers and exchange ideas and experiences. These can be great places to find support and build connections with others who are in similar situations. Overall, the key to overcoming the lack of office socialization while working remotely is to be proactive and make an effort to stay connected with your team. By using communication tools, scheduling regular check-ins, and finding ways to socialize outside of work, you can maintain strong connections with your coworkers and feel less isolated. #remotework for life Photo: Koh Phangan, Thailand

3 benefits of remote work vs. office work đŸ‘‡đŸ» As more and more companies embrace remote work, it's clear that there are many advantages to this type of arrangement. Here are three reasons why working remotely is better than working in an office: 1/ Increased flexibility. One of the biggest benefits of remote work is the increased flexibility it offers. When you're not tied to a specific location, you can work from wherever is most convenient for you. This could be your home, a coworker's house, a coffee shop, or even a beach in the Caribbean. The ability to work from anywhere can make it easier to manage your work-life balance and allow you to be more productive. 2/ Improved collaboration. Despite the common belief that remote work can be isolating, the opposite is often true. With the right tools and strategies, remote teams can actually be more collaborative than in-office teams. For example, remote workers can use communication and collaboration tools like Slack, Asana, and Zoom to stay connected with their coworkers and work together on projects in real time. 3/ Cost savings. Working remotely can also save you and your company money. Without the need for a physical office space, you can save on rent, utilities, and other overhead costs. And because remote workers are not limited by geography, companies can hire the best talent from anywhere in the world, which can be more cost-effective than hiring locally. Overall, the benefits of remote work are clear: increased flexibility, improved collaboration, and cost savings. If you're considering a remote work arrangement, don't be afraid to take the plunge. It may just be the best decision you ever make. #remotework for life

Income doesn't reflect the prices or inflation. Income reflects your worth in the job market. Your worth are your skills and efficiency. People are being laid off. That means that they are not needed anymore where they used to work. Or, their worth doesn't reflect their cost anymore. When laid off, that's a great time to think about own worth. What value are you bringing? And, if the market finds it insufficient, it's time to increase own worth. You can do this by improving your skills or efficiency (it's often related), or increasing your effort on the job market. Also, boosting the awareness of our own worth can be helpful - why should someone else value you more than you value yourself? However, this usually doesn't happen. People often get to the victim position (what a terrible market), expecting to be saved by someone else ('governmental' support). The problem is that society and collective thinking is teaching us we can get 'something for nothing'. There's nothing such as 'free education' or 'governmental support'. They always come at the expense of someone else, involuntarily. Of course, breaking such a habit (it's nothing else than a mind construct) as a society will be very difficult. Lacking the awareness of reality and outsourcing our responsibility to others is a childish position in psychology. And, who wouldn't love to be a kid forever when it's being approved?

đŸ‘‡đŸ» 5 Reasons Companies should allow their employees to work remotely đŸ‘‡đŸ» As many organizations are adapting to a new way of working after the pandemic, the idea of allowing employees to work remotely is becoming more commonplace. Offering a remote work option can bring numerous advantages to both employers and employees, including increased productivity, improved work/life balance, and cost savings. Here are five reasons why companies should consider allowing their employees to work remotely: 1. Increased Employee Productivity: Research has shown that when employees are allowed to work remotely, they tend to be more productive. Working remotely gives employees the flexibility to create their own schedules and work in an environment where they are most comfortable, enabling them to get more done in less time. 2. Improved Work/Life Balance: Allowing employees to work remotely can provide them with a better work/life balance. Remote work gives employees more control over their work hours, allowing them to adjust their schedules to accommodate personal commitments. This can lead to greater job satisfaction and improved employee morale. 3. Cost Savings: Remote work can also save companies money. By allowing employees to work remotely, companies can save on expenses related to office space, equipment, and other overhead costs. 4. Increased Talent Pool: By offering remote work options, companies can open up their talent pool to a wider range of potential employees. This can be especially beneficial for companies in rural areas or those with limited access to qualified workers. 5. Improved Communication: Remote work can help improve communication between employees, managers, and other stakeholders. Virtual communication tools such as video conferencing and online collaboration platforms can help ensure that everyone is on the same page and working towards the same goals. In conclusion, remote work can bring numerous benefits to companies, including increased productivity, improved work/life balance, cost savings, increased talent pool, and improved communication. For these reasons, companies should consider allowing their employees to work remotely. #remotework for life

It's been more than two years since the pandemic shifted our lives and the way we work. It's been a difficult journey, but it has also brought an unprecedented opportunity to create the future of work. Remote work is now a reality, and it's here to stay. We've seen companies like Twitter, Shopify, and Facebook go all-in on remote work and extend the option for employees to work from home permanently. This shift is not only bringing convenience to employees, but also allowing companies to access talent from a global pool. The days of having to be in the office to get work done are gone. With the right tools and practices, remote work can be just as effective as in-office work. We're already seeing companies reap the benefits of this shift, such as increased productivity, better collaboration, and cost savings. Remote work is the future of work, and it's already happening today. There's no need to go back to the office. We can make the most of this opportunity to create a remote-first future that works for everyone. Don't go back to history. Be the future. #remotework for life Photo: Koh Samui, Thailand, spring 2022

For personal branding, the right social media platform is key! Here's my breakdown of some of the top options out there and their pros and cons for personal branding: ---- LinkedIn: Pros: Professional, account-oriented platform with a focus on building relationships. Cons: Limited characters and lack of post customization. ---- Instagram: Pros: Highly visual platform with a large global reach. Cons: Limited post-engagement metrics and difficulty measuring ROI. ---- Facebook: Pros: Highly customizable post options and ability to target specific audiences. Cons: Lower user engagement than other platforms. ---- YouTube: Pros: Ability to post high-quality videos with excellent engagement metrics. Find the one that works for you and make sure to stay consistent with your content and messaging. #personalbranding #socialmedia #marketing

What's the best place to work remotely in Asia? 🏝 As remote work continues to become more and more of a reality for many of us, the question of where to work remotely from is an important one. Asia has long been a popular destination for digital nomads, offering a tantalizing mix of culture, cuisine, and adventure. But which country is the best in Asia to work remotely from? In my opinion, the best country in Asia to work remotely from is Thailand. From its bustling cities and white-sand beaches to its vibrant culture and delicious cuisine, Thailand offers something for everyone. Additionally, its excellent infrastructure, reliable internet, and plentiful coworking spaces make it an ideal place for remote workers. Plus, with its affordable cost of living, you can easily stretch your dollar and enjoy a comfortable lifestyle. Whether you’re looking for an adventure or a peaceful place to hunker down and get work done, Thailand has something to offer. It has become my favorite spot to work remotely from and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to make the jump to remote work. And so, see you around next week! If you're in Thailand, DM me and we can arrange a meeting. #remotework for life Photo: Bangkok, Thailand, spring 2022

How companies can benefit from remote work? The rise of remote work has become an increasingly popular concept due to advances in technology and the growing demand for flexible work schedules. For companies, the benefits of remote work are numerous, ranging from increased productivity and cost savings to improved employee morale and enhanced customer service. Firstly, remote work can increase productivity. Without the distraction of a busy office, employees can focus on their tasks in a distraction-free environment. This can lead to shorter completion times and better quality of work. Secondly, remote work can save companies money. As employees are not physically present in the office, companies can reduce their overhead costs, such as rent and utilities, and use the money saved to invest in other areas of the business. Thirdly, remote work can improve employee morale. With the ability to work from anywhere, employees have more freedom and flexibility to manage their own time. This can lead to improved job satisfaction and a greater sense of ownership. Finally, remote work can lead to improved customer service. With employees able to work from home, companies can respond to customer inquiries faster and more efficiently. This can help build trust and loyalty, leading to increased customer satisfaction. Overall, the benefits of remote work for companies are clear. From increased productivity and cost savings to improved employee morale and customer service, remote work can be a great way to maximize efficiency and boost profits. #remotework for life

The future of work is now. As the world continues to adjust to the new reality of remote work, more and more businesses are beginning to experience the advantages of a distributed workforce. From improved productivity and collaboration to increased job satisfaction and cost savings, the benefits of remote work are becoming increasingly clear. One of the primary benefits of remote work is increased productivity. Studies have shown that employees tend to be more productive when working remotely, thanks to fewer distractions and the ability to customize their workspace and environment to meet their individual needs. Collaboration is also improved with remote work. With the right tools and processes in place, remote teams can effectively communicate and collaborate, no matter where they are. This allows teams to work together quickly and efficiently, and it also creates an environment of trust and camaraderie. Job satisfaction is another key benefit of remote work. Without the need to commute to an office, employees can enjoy more flexible hours and an improved work/life balance. This can lead to improved morale, greater job satisfaction, and ultimately higher retention rates. Finally, businesses can experience significant cost savings thanks to remote work. With fewer overhead costs and the ability to hire top talent from anywhere in the world, businesses can save on resources and gain access to a larger pool of potential employees. Overall, the advantages of remote work are becoming more and more apparent. As businesses continue to embrace this new way of working, they can look forward to improved productivity, better collaboration, increased job satisfaction, and cost savings. What other explanations do you need? #remotework for life

If you don't consider life a fully deterministic flow of events, you can expand your options and live more fully and better. I gave a presentation about, what I call, The Freeist concept. I wish I see many Freeists around me in the future - people who through accepting the responsibility for their own life & actions broaden their opportunities. 'Others often kill our potential.' 'Dare question the status quo.' 'Find what you love among the non-obvious.' <3 If you want me to share the pretty descriptive slides with you, please, comment and I'll DM them to you ❀ #libertarian

Have you ever seen history going backward? Do you know any single event when things returned to the 'before' era? Do you think I am crazy asking such a question? That's valid. But this is exactly what we try to do when: *companies are nostalgic about the pre-pandemic life, trying to push it back; *companies force people to go back to the office after 2 years of working remotely; *companies allow you to sit at home on Monday and Wednesday (or any other random days) You cannot give people freedom and flexibility and then lock them back. It's not working backward. Trust your people. Because if you don't then don't work with them in the first place. #remotework for life Photo: Tbilisi, Georgia

How to keep work cooperation flawless when working remotely? As you would do normally! The only difference between remote work and on-site is that in remote, you CANNOT hide the communication problems. There's a pattern in most companies: Their communication is usually very bad - they don't use an efficient tool, no one directs the communication, and it is messy. Often, there's not one place where people share the information. Documentation is everywhere, locally hosted, or nonexistent. When people work on-site, they usually disregard these serious problems. They have the impression that it's not an issue - they can always *knock on your shoulder* (what a disrespectful distraction...). However, when someone is sick, they realize how much they're completely dependent on their nonexistent workflow and documentation non-management. When companies go remote, they MUST face these issues and resolve them. This is also one of the reasons why #remotefirst companies are better to work for: they had to resolve all these problems. When you join such a company, the internal processes are usually more clear, less bureaucratic, and more understandable. What is your experience with communication and documentation in remote companies? How do you handle common issues? Do you face any other struggles? P.S. In the next posts, I will share how you can bring remote work cooperation to the next level. Turn on the notifications for my posts to not to miss this out. Share with your network, if you find the content helpful. If you have any other tips, hit me up in the DMs.

Companies should understand, that remote work is a complete game-changer for most people. For some, it can mean: *More time with their old relatives. *More time with their kids. *Better self-care and mental health. *Living in an environment that improves own well-being (and therefore productivity). *Less stress. and much more Please, stop writing that you offer remote work, when in fact, you want people to come to the office X times a week. It's not the same. Once allows you to live at your best, the other doesn't. Stop babysitting your people and trust them. We're already grown-ups. #remotework for life P.S. My 10 tips on how to do great & better public speech đŸ‘‡đŸ» 1/ Changing the formats is a great way to keep the audience interested. This is a good strategy and I will continue with it. I combine some question/exercise for people + storytelling + regular information + photo / video + less text in the presentation (the points to be expressive) 2/ Being honest & self is much more than being right. Admitting you’re not right is great. 3/ I do not like BS around anything. I love simplified stuff. If the topic is too complicated, it’s worth rethinking twice whether to dive deeper into it. 4/ Having two days for the preparation (information gathering, clarification, presentation preparation) can be pretty much enough. 5/ I enjoy getting the information long-term and keep my subconsciousness to work it though. Then I prepare the presentation on the presentation day. 6/ Always provide context. Assume people don’t know. Always. Yes, always. 7/ Relax before the speech. I went running + took a warm shower, but I was far too much in rush and stressed before it. I will go back to my traditional ritual of massage + low information day + meditation + slow pace = presentation day. (As best every day hahaha :’) 8/ When you are overthinking it, you speak worse than when you don’t. Yes, I was overthinking speaking in Russian and it was okay, but I speak the language way better when I don’t think about every word, obviously. This reflects on the topic too. 9/ The best topic (and work, in the end) is self-expression. If you live it, you will rock. Express what you live (and love), not what you were taught. 10/ Interview is simpler than a presentation.. of course. Just a reminder. Bonus: stay human. What would you add? Let me know in the comments. #liberland #representative

Can you benefit from being in a different time zone than other colleagues? Sure! Let me show you how đŸ‘‡đŸ» I highly recommend everyone who doesn't have fixed work time (which often doesn't make sense), at least part of the day: Try different work-time regimes đŸ‘‰đŸ» > Experiment with waking up in the morning and working and / or working later in the evening (but not ~ 1 hour before sleep - it's better to wind off for better sleep) > Try splitting the day in half - work in the morning and then in the evening - make a trip or spend time on your hobbies during the day (this is an amazing hack, especially in the middle of the week to reset a bit) ~ because your body needs some time to adjust its regime, I recommend waking up earlier (if you want to experiment with it) for a couple of days in a row so that you wouldn't be fooled by being tired on the first days. Also, waking up in the morning starts with falling asleep earlier in the evening :) How to implement this in the time zones ✈ I highly recommend the EASTERN time zones from your office country: > You can start your day the way you want (I love to work undistracted when everyone else sleeps & do my things to make sure I spend time on my hobbies), > You can feel (and be) a bit ahead. (e.g. finishing the work that you agreed on at the end of the previous working day will move the project forward and save some time) > You can have more daylight! If you work in the morning, you can enjoy daytime time off (if you don't have some fixed-time calls, of course). This is the best benefit. Also, ~ 2 hours on the west can be okay, or, ~ 8 hours on the west and more. If you will go into anything in between, you will likely suffer, because the office workday will start at your night. Unless, of course, you don't have complete async cooperation. How do I know all this? I live it. Follow me for more. #rethink #async and, #remotework for life Photo: Thailand, Krabi, 2022

A micronation made a virtual world so that ALL its citizens can meet online... ... and as an added benefit, avoid local police arresting them. Honestly, this is one of the most unique uses of the metaverse I have seen so far in 2022, and potentially ever. Basically, Liberland is a strip of abandoned land that was claimed by a Czech MP with ambitions for statehood. It is NOT recognised as an official country, though it has 7,000 approved residents with 700,000 more applications being processed. Announced in April, it is the first time a country is offering a hybrid of both the physical and virtual to its citizens, designed and supported by Mytaverse over this year. 'We're building a dynamic space where we can continue to contribute to the economic development of Liberland and let citizens feel the urban development progress,' said Vit Jedlicka, President of Liberland. 'Liberland Metaverse will be our citizens' virtual home, drawing all our engaged communities together in an enriched extension of our country.' The problem here is that it is not recognised as an official nation. It sits between Serbia and Croatia, as a 7km2 patch of land that is still disputed by both countries. A virtual world means citizens can come together, but it is also one way to avoid getting arrested by Croatian police. It is cool to see a country offer a virtual world to every citizen, even if the scale is smaller. But the surrounding political elements are incredible. Liberland has existed since 2015, and is the third-smallest sovereign state; I wonder how many tourists it in the virtual world? If you want to learn more, this piece from Euronews gives a fantastic overview: https://lnkd.in/evUNwgmy What do you think? #metaverse

Attend events if you're working remotely. Otherwise, you're missing a lot. But not (only) to socialize. 💡 When you work around the globe, you have an opportunity to listen to the best speakers all around the world. As a remote worker, you can even travel to events or conferences, without interrupting your work responsibilities (you will have to adjust your schedule of course though). Remote work gives you the opportunity to meet interesting people from all around the world. What's a plus is that remote work connects you. You have usually something in common - a sense of freedom or responsibility. You can share experiences and enrich your world understanding. And where to find the events no matter where you are? *Try finding local communities of your interest, they often organize events, *See MeetUp website and Facebook events, *Check local coworking spaces, Telegram, or FB expat Groups (depending on the country). (P.S. I feel the urge to organize events myself if I cannot find an appropriate one, but it requires additional effort.) Do you have any other tips? Share it in the comments to help the community. As always, #remotework for life And, stay #thefreeist - broaden the opportunities you have in your life.

I don't believe in 'perfectionism'. When someone says that they're 'perfectionists', sadly it mostly means: *They don't believe in themselves. They don't know what they want to achieve. *They don't drive the thing to any result or outcome. Lack of decision-making & responsibility acceptance. *Often they zoom in on one little unnecessary detail to 'make it perfect' - they are unable to focus on what's important and distinguish it. Yet, the meta-problem to me is either lack of vision and/or a lack of stand for oneself. Why? If you know what to do, you will likely get there. If you believe in yourself and can stand for yourself, you don't mind delivering *at least something* to improve it thanks to the feedback, or just state what's good enough. Everyone I heard saying that they're perfectionists are people who: *Keep saying for years that they wait for *the idea* *Keep adjusting their projects for years (again), because they don't find it *good enough* (but often they don't know what they want to achieve). *Don't really change anything about their life because _____ (fill out your favorite excuse like 'not the right time, not the right period, family, money, not enough time, not the right country, visa limitations...) I am not a perfectionist and I am not perfect. Why? No one is. It's a BS. :) (I know I'm on thin ice here on the hyper-correct culture's social media.) Only action drives relevant feedback. Cheers. #thefreeist

I made use of the visit of my two friends & big libertarians - Marianna Sadecka and Pavol Luptak. We shot two short perspective-broadening shows. They'll be out soon. Stay tuned. -- Mindset insights: *You must first spot the opportunity. Stay open. *Be aware of what you say 'yes' to. Not every offer is an opportunity. *Without action, you don't get anywhere. Driving the opportunities to the outcomes is another mastery. I am #thefreeist - I broaden the opportunities in my life.

Remote Girl presenting on-site? 👀 YES! And I love it. As a Liberland Representative to Georgia, I organized my first Meet & Greet in Tbilisi. It's different to 'just' live somewhere & work remotely VERSUS organizing events or doing anything business-like. I still do not know that many people and their habits here, yet everything went well. I feel proud of daring to stand out of the crowd, do things, and keep moving. As a Liberland representative, my duty is to share awareness, help with the consulate services (if required), and in the long run make the country recognized. And, so far, I'd say that I'm well on my way - making use of everything I've learned over the years. Aim higher :)

How long do digital nomads stay in one country? đŸ•”đŸ»â€â™€ïž Only 4% of the stays of digital nomads last less than 7 days. Considering the data, it may be more of a holiday character in such a case. Most people stay in one country for a range of 30 days. Yet, if interpreting the data, you must examine also the fact of the visa limitation. It is highly probable, that people wouldn't hop that much if the visa policies were more favorable. Nonstop travel might sound great, but can be very tiring. I'd say that these data would be interesting in the context of one year - most people keep coming back to some 'base country'. Even the perpetual travelers I know have a home :) Yet, sometimes, those are three flats around the globe. And that's fine too. Did you learn anything new? Is there any other aspect you'd consider seeing the data? Let me know in the comments :) #remotework for life

Is Georgia 🇬đŸ‡Ș a good place for #remotework? TL;DR: Yes! Georgia is a very European country with good internet connectivity, amazing people, culture, and nature. ☀ If you plan to stay shorter, you will appreciate: *Variability of the country - from the seaside to the mountains; from Bali-alike nature to the mountain breeze. *Hedonism: sulfur baths, amazing and rich local cuisine and wine, sharing culture, long toasts. To eat is an event here. *Good facilities in Tbilisi, Kutaisi, and Batumi (major cities here). Evolving nomad communities & meetups. Newly opened cafes and co-working spaces. Georgia is rising! 🚀 If you plan to stay long-term, you will appreciate: *1-year allowance of stay, visa-free for most countries; then you can make a visa run. *Welcoming mentality - I never felt so appreciated and accepted as a foreigner in another country. Also, it's pretty easy to make new friends here (even among locals). *Beneficial taxation - for most occupations, you can use the Micro Business status with 0% tax (under 50k GEL), or Small Business Status (under 500k GEL). *Good cost vs. value ratio. (Despite the rising prices.) *Most people speak English - especially where you need it: banks, governmental services, and restaurants. *Low bureaucracy & capitalistic conditions - you fill out your tax reports in minutes yourself, secured and prompt payment system, and 24/7 shops everywhere. After almost 2 years in this beautiful country, it doesn't stop surprising me with its beauty. A huge shout out to Georgia, the best country to live in for me. Thank you for having such an opportunity to live here. 🇬đŸ‡Ș Let me know what's your favorite country for remote work in the comments! :)

LIBERLAND DIPLOMATIC PASSPORT TO BE RECOGNIZED IN COLUMBIA Liberland? The world’s newest and 3rd smallest sovereign state after the Vatican and Monaco. This means: ·      A Liberlander needs no other document to book or check in at a hotel, purchase goods or go to a restaurant. ·      The passport is also reported as valid for travel within Mercosur. (Mercosur operates on a one-for-all policy, wherein if a passport holder receives a visa or stamp from one member country, they are granted visa-free access to the other nations within the compact.) The Colombian senate agreed to hold continued talks with discussions for the ultimate aim of opening a formal embassy and securing full passport recognition. Liberland is, slowly but surely, achieving parity with other countries and building a reputation of seriousness and respect for international law in the international community. https://lnkd.in/evr6f9i8

Remote workers don't work. Remote workers will be difficult to communicate with. Remote workers are lazy. ^ Did someone tell you this? Ever? Don't work with them. Why? Because they project themselves how they would work remotely. Of course, one wouldn't hire a person that doesn't work or is hard to communicate with, in the first place. 🙃 #remotework for life be #thefreeist Photo: illustrative :) Me after giving the speech about Remote Work in Ark of Liberland at the Floating Man Conference 2022 - we moved to the beaches with other participants.

Could I make a compromise and go back to the office after working remotely for years? Definitely... ...no. When I accidentally wait in traffic or am crowded in public transportation, I realize that it's a reality for most people. Not only it's incredibly unpleasant and makes me upset (why would I willingly be choosing this way to spend my day?), but it wastes my time. Instead of going shopping at the peak times, I can go when there's no one around. Instead of being stuck in traffic, I can work from home, enjoying a slowly-cooked homemade breakfast. Instead of being disturbed by someone all the time walking around and sometimes interrupting my work, I can find a peaceful environment (or the one that works exactly for you). I cannot work anymore among distractions - despite I meditate and having a good attention span. I find it disrespectful for someone to interrupt me (especially physically) while doing something. I don't feel I must explain myself here. It's been already scientifically proven several times - from productivity, and attention, to well-being research. Do you like your office? Go there. But don't push others to do the same just because of your preferences. #remotework for life be #thefreeist Photo: Home, Tbilisi, Georgia

EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE MY APPLICATION APPROVAL TO BECOME AN E-RESIDENT OF THE FREE REPUBLIC OF LIBERLAND It is with great anticipation of now not only holding an E-Resident card  but working on attaining  my citizenship in Liberland - which is building its governance on the "Liberland Blockchain." Liberland? The world’s 3rd smallest sovereign state after the Vatican and Monaco. With an applicable claim on the land between Serbia and Croatia supporting legal statehood, Liberland’s Proclamation of Independence on April 13, 2015 is legitimate and in accordance with international law. ~ It  is a new country whose guiding principles and philosophy are classical libertarian ideals: i.e., limited government, free markets, voluntary association and peace. ~ The most dynamic aspect of the Free Republic of Liberland is  building  its governance on the “Liberland Blockchain.” ~ E-governance on top of the blockchain is its highest priority which will allow E-Residents and citizens to develop and enjoy a variety of social and business services. ~ Liberland is developing a new country registry that will not only create traditional corporate structures within a Free-Trade Zone.... but will also allow the creation of a DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization). BESIDES ALL THAT... You’ve heard of “Burning Man” in the United States?? Liberland brings us “Floating Man”!! Floating Man is Liberland's annual summer crypto festival for freedom lovers. I’ll be there next summer. floatingman.ll.land liberland.org Vit Jedlicka, President of Liberland Jana Markovicova, First Lady & Co-Founder of Liberland #liberland

Remote workers are lazy, that's why they don't go to the office. I surely am lazy to go to the office. But I'm not lazy to live my life. I'm not lazy to exchange the time I save to go running, or to the gym. I'm not lazy to exchange that time to make the laundry, clean my home, or cook myself healthy food. I'm not lazy to spend that time meditating or reading a book. But hey, this is called 'effectiveness' - maybe, some things shouldn't be done in the first place because they don't create any value. Like commuting. Enjoy yourself at your best. #remotework for life Be #thefreeist

3 Tips on How to get Remote Work đŸ‘‡đŸ» * Ask your current employer whether you could work remotely. Discuss this with your manager and HR to adjust both processes and the legal way accordingly. (Of course, this applies to most of the office-job work, not if you work as a factory worker.) * Find companies that work remotely - either via people who already work remotely (see #remotework), check the list of remote-first companies (Google "remote first companies"), or see the remote work jobs portals (JustRemote, AngelList, Remotive, RemoteOK...) * Check the job offers while filtering "Remote Work": Here on LinkedIn, go to "Jobs", search for the position you're looking for & in the 'onsite/remote' choose 'remote'. Yet, I recommend reading carefully the job description, to make sure that the position is 100% remote. Sadly, not all companies list this correctly, just to attract the attention of people. Let me know if this helped and what else would help you to launch your remote cooperation. Share with your network if you found it useful. It may help someone else too! #remotework for life and stay #thefreeist

Have you also noticed how others project their own fears on us? "You won't have the internet there." "How could you travel there? What if there will be no place for work?" "Will you make it even with the different timezone?" And the more I travel, the more I understand how everything got portable. People's fears are of course valid, but they are often connected to a limited world understanding. Get advice about remote work from people who work remotely, not from someone who never tried it and doesn't even travel (or that often; of course, if you want to travel). The best to find out is to try yourself, in the end. #remotework for life And be #thefreeist Photo: Ha Giang, Vietnamese mountains

Don't try to get remote work if you're not: * Responsible * Accountable * Trustworthy * Skilled in communication * Used to make documentation First, such people harm the understanding of Remote Workers (: Second, go and learn this, and until you do so, do not get any job at all. In the office, you can hide these imperfections more or less. You get 'trusted' because they 'see you' so it creates the impression that you work well or okay. But if you go working remotely, you'll be fired soon. There's nowhere to hide and nothing to BS around. You either deliver or not. Remote work is not 'something for nothing'. It's well deserved. #remotework for life be #thefreeist Photo: Gomarduli, Adjara mountains, Georgia

I am organizing events... again. And today, there will be held a special one: 1st Liberland Meet & Greet in Tbilisi, Georgia In the summer, I agreed on the voluntary role of the Liberland Representative to Georgia. Since then, I create a local community and share the awareness step-by-step. The first community meetup will be held today at 5 PM local time in the area of the Liberty of the Library of New Economic School - Georgia. I cannot wait to see all the like-minded libertarians excited about the same idea - Liberland as a country that shows the world that things can be different. If there's anything of value to me, then it's showing different perspectives that may stay covered by others. To me - it's about individual freedom and life&work opportunities. To Liberland - it's about freedom in terms of the nation-state and its people. It's a country created for people. And if they wouldn't like it, they can opt out. See you around. #liberland #representative #libertarian #thefreeist

Real-life Remote Work Starterpack: * Laptop * High-speed internet (with an e-sim backup) * Responsibility, trustworthiness, accountability * Top environment in a great destination * Planning the weekend getaway I wish people stopped sending me comments and messages about pajamas and that one worker who once didn't do something when working from home... Look, if you don't know how to make it work, it doesn't mean others don't. Take care and enjoy your life & work at your best! #remotework for life Be #thefreeist Photo: one of the many cafes @ Belgrad, Serbia

Should I postpone my life for later because of work? Or should I enjoy my days, live in the places I want, and also move on the career ladder at the same time? Is it even possible? Of course, it is. I live it. I used to be *busy and important*. Workaholic for life. I believe that being tired and exhausted proves my worth. I always had something to do. My calendar was full. To understand, that it's not about doing things. It's about doing the right and worthy things. My worth is not defined by how much I am wasted. It is defined by what value I can bring. And, can I bring a higher value if I feel better? If I am surrounded by the environment I choose? If I live in a place I enjoy? :) Well, of course. #remotework for life, because it enabled me to live in a country I love, live the life I want, and travel in places I would be postponing for "never" (I know people say 'later'). No matter the general consensus, I will go against the status quo and I will never give up: Yes, you can have it all. Go for it and never give up on your dreams. Be #thefreeist
